RUGBY FOR HEROES WEAR HERITAGE SAMURAI

RUGBY FOR HEROES WEAR HERITAGE SAMURAI

The Rugby for Heroes charity has received their first order from SAMURAI, wearing our Heritage logo during their Transition Through Rugby course.

Rugby For Heroes is a charitable organisation that works closely with the rugby community to help aid the transition of military personnel into civilian life. Formed in 2011, the charity aims to raise funds and awareness in order to offer support to those leaving the armed forces, as well as courses designed to introduce them into the world of rugby.

Rugby For Heroes at the Transition Through Rugby course

By offering a Transition Through Rugby course, the charity is able to create a sense of belonging to returning servicemen and women and create a great supporting community with which they can relate to. Offering expert professional guidance and mentoring, the program is open to any serving or former member of the armed forces to help develop teamwork, management skills and coaching as well as looking at the core values held by the rugby community, such as sportsmanship, respect, courage and commitment.

“As a former soldier of 25 years and someone who has gained the benefits of the Rugby for Heroes transition through rugby course, this collaboration between SAMURAI and the charity has been an absolute pleasure.” Matthew Ball, our Sales and Business Development Manager for the Southwest and Wales continued: “Rugby for Heroes helps not only service leavers but professional rugby players, this is due to the similarities between both coming to the ends of their careers. We at SAMURAI have been huge supporters of the military over our entire 25 years and hope this along with working with Rugby for Heroes long continues.”
