Samurai Sportswear are delighted to reveal their latest OMG ICONIX™ test jersey for the England Development IPF 7s, in association with the RFU Injured Players Foundation. The shirt will be debuted at the iPro Sport Super Sevens Series in Bury St Edmunds on 7th May 2017.
The RFU Injured Players Foundation provides support and information to rugby players in England, from grassroots to professional level, who sustain a catastrophic spinal cord or traumatic brain injury playing the game. The Foundation also work with players and clubs to help prevent future injuries through research and education.
A vital part of the RFU IPF’s work is the empowerment of individuals, to help them lead their lives as fully and independently as possible. They are there to support the player and their family, friends and clubs immediately after injury and for the rest of their lives.
The Foundation continually funds research to make breakthroughs in understanding how the care of injured players can be improved, whilst making the game of rugby safer, with the ultimate vision of everyone playing the game without the risk of such injuries occurring.
They also offer help to individuals who sustain injuries while playing rugby that are not classed as a catastrophic spinal cord injury or a traumatic brain injury, by providing information and where possible, by relieving financial hardship.
