Samurai sportswear have been proud kit suppliers to Bromley and Beckenham Hockey Club since the summer of 2016. Bromley and Beckenham are one of the biggest clubs in the country and the leading club in South East London. 2016 has been an important year for the club with the opening of a new hockey pitch in August, located at Langley Park School for Girls south of Beckenham. The club invested in the upgraded facility, along with funding from Sport England and England Hockey.
Maddie Hinch, who featured in Great Britain’s dramatic win over Netherlands in the 2016 Olympics Ladies Hockey final was at the new opening of the new facility and stated “for hockey newcomers I’d recommend getting down there. Don’t just focus of being a defender, goalie or forward, try it all, because you never know what might suit you.”
On field, Bromley & Beckenham’s Ladies 1st team have had a successful year. They defeated Holcombe, away from home 2-1 in the Kent Cup Hockey Final. Quite an achievement, taking into account that Holcombe find themselves two leagues higher than Bromley & Beckenham.
