SAMURAI are thrilled to announce their new partnership with National League rugby team Plymouth Albion RFC, signing a 3 year contract with SAMURAI to be their official kit suppliers.
Plymouth Albion RFC has a rich and impressive history as a rugby team, having been established in 1876 by Dockyard Apprentices and then becoming a team with an assured sense of community after combining with Keyham RFC in 1886, and then Devonport RFC in 1920 to form their current name - Plymouth Albion RFC.
During the tender process, it was instantly known that as a partnership, our quality and their ambition would make the perfect match. With Chris Bentley, their Commercial Manager, Plymouth Albion have their sights set high with their innovative PROJECT 150 initiative, and are soon becoming a force to be reckoned with. He told us “I have a fair bit of history with SAMURAI from my time at Exeter Chiefs and know they are synonymous with top quality rugby. Stash will always be important to rugby players and with SAMURAI, we see a fantastic opportunity to get our lads the best on the market! At Albion we aspire to return the Ocean Cities club to its former glory and see the partnership with SAMURAI as a part of the plan.”
PROJECT 150 aims to harness the commercial and business resources of Ocean City to support the community of Plymouth and the surrounding areas and in turn to see the club hold an elite position in the English Championship. Bentley continued “ In the build up to the launch of our exciting PROJECT 150 I am eager to see just what we can achieve together”.
