The #SamuraiFamily was very proud to receive this update and great photos from the Riyadh Vipers – well done team!
The Bahrain RFC Gulf Regional Tournament covered ages from U5 through to U14 where Riyadh Vipers RFC competed in the Minis, Midis and Colts, against teams from Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain. Whilst no tournament rankings were registered as the event was in the spirit of getting children to participate in competitive events, the Minis and Midis won the majority of their matches. The Colts won (2) and drew (1) of the 7-a-side games and fiercely competed and narrowly lost their (2) XV-a-side games against a joint Barbarians Oman/Kuwait/Bahrain side, and also a strong 1st Team Bahrain RFC squad. All in all, a tremendous day where all the children, parents and coaches wore their samurai Riyadh Vipers Shirts with pride. Riyadh Vipers RFC look forward to the 2019/20 season where it is hoped the club will be competing in Bahrain, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi and possibly Dubai and Kuwait.
