Bishops In Checkmate After Strategic Game By Colts

The Newbury Colts had their best game of the season, when they beat Bishops Strotford 46-16 at Franklin Gardens on Monday 5th May.

Both teams made good progress in the first half of this year’s National Plate Final, excelling in their irrespective strengths. At half-time the scoreboard read 10-3 in favour of the Colts.

In the second half the Colts showed the Bishops what they are made off with David Britwhistle securing a hat-trick, in addition to his earlier try in the first half. Read more.

Champion Streak Continues _________________________ The women's rugby team from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC) broke Northumbria hearts after winning the BUSA women's Rugby Union Championship final at RFU Twickenham for the third year running. Both teams met with unbeaten records under their belts and the final lived up to all expectations with some great rugby and superb individual performances. Read more.
